While studying the word of God sometime in January or February of 2023, our founder was seeking God for a theme for a conference she desired to host in the coming months.  Her studies brought her to Matthew 13:45-46:

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.  When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!”  Matthew 13:45-46

and she became mesmerized.  What was so astounding was the fact that these two verses seemed to come out of nowhere, just like Jabez’s story in 1 Chronicles 4:10.

The scripture read so clear and profound until, not only did it resonate with her spirit, but it spoke the sentiments of God’s heart about His people that I now felt led to share with the world.  And, just like that, PRUDENT PEARLS was birthed; this is the women's department of The Transformation Center Chicago where our founder serves as the Executive Pastor alongside her husband Senior Pastor Kevin Cunningham.

 

And, out of PRUDENT PEARLS came forth a dream that our founder has had for decades - P.E.A.R.L.S. - an initiative that serves Single Mothers and Single Women by providing temporary housing, education, training, and mentoring to strengthen their inner being, thereby become productive citizens in society, and positively affect the world.
